Science Class Activity

In science class, one of my favorite labs was the owl pellet. This was my favorite lab because it was fun to do and we also learned a lot about the skelletons of rodents. I thought that this experiment was very fun because we got to have partners that we were friends with, therefore we got to socialize with them. Also, that it was more hands-on than other experiments. In this experiment we learned that owls have two stomachs. That the regergitate the fur and bones of the animal it eats. When we were doing this experiment the owl pellets varied. That meant that some of the class got big rodents and others got tiny ones. This lad was also easy to understand. There were not many scientific words used, and there was a bone sheet that helped you pick out what the boe was. This lab is, so far, my favorite lab.

Science Current Event #2

The title of the article i read was "Young Owl Flies to Freedom With a New Set of Eyes." This article was about an owl that had cataracts in both eyes. One day a lady called a veterinarian in Two Rivers, Wisconsin and asked "Is it normal for an owl to sit on a fence for three days without moving. The veterinarian said no, so they sent out wildlife people to get the owl. Th owl was then sent off to a Veternarian University. At the university the owl was examined and got its cataracts removed and an artificial lens. After the owl recovered they sent it back into the wild.

When reading this article I learned that sometimes many animals can have the same problem as humans. Also, I learned that this owl was not able to catch prey with its cataracts. That means that the owl wasn't eating much and had a very weak stomach. If I were in that owls possition i would be very greatful that many kind people helped me be able to now see and live with a regular eye.

Science Current Event

The article I read was "Rebirth of Yellowstone's Wolves." It was about two wolvs that had eight wolve pups, but then there were some diffuculties. First, the dad wolve was killed by a poacher. Next, they put the pups and the mother in a compound until they grew larger and could defend themselves, but a storm sweeping by knocked over the compound and the pups left. Then, park services found six of the pups and put them back in the compound with their mother, and the two others found a new parent from a different pack. When, the pups were released one was killed by a car. The mother and other pups paired up with the wolve that the two pups were with and became a family together.

Reading this article I learned that the wolves were endangered in Yellowstone. I also learned that the little wolves couldn't defend themselves or get food until they grew a little more. The part of this article that stated that they couldn't do much until they grew reminded me of bullying. When a bully is picking on a little kid the kid cant defend themselvs like the wolves.

Lit. bullying

If society feels that bullying is bad we should put it to a stop. Though some people just cant stop it because others say that they don't bully, but they just say that, until a situation gets really bad. This relates to Slakes Limbo because when he was getting bullied a school so he ran away to the Central Station. Its not good to bully and when socisty trys to stop it something just slips through.

Lit.summer reading question

I read the book Dunk for my summer reading. I was able to make a connection to the summer reading book I read. My connection was that Chad ,the main character, lived down by the beach. Every year I go to a beach house and go to the boardwalk for about a week.

My favorite food to buy in the cafeteria is chocolate chip cookies. YUMM!

On the weekend, when all my chores are done, i like to hang out with friends or go shopping.

If i won a free airline ticket i would go to The Carribian beacause to sit on the beach and play in the water.
My favorite color is green.
If I can get another pet it would be a Chinchilla named Peepers.
This year if I work really hard i would like to be able to have a huge Beta Fun Week!!!!!
